i read through the d&d 5e players’ manual & made a character for funzies and to understand the system better, and now i’m attached. please send help.

Nix is a wood elf bard who communicates primarily by casting Message at people and who never willingly removes their mask, for varying reasons (including: a) the society they grew up in; b) their unpretty facial scars; and c) not wanting to be recognised bc they’re a dang criminal).

they are the only oc i have with an actual written-out backstory, and for this i love both them and also just generally the whole d&d thing which makes character creation so easy i can do it accidentally

1) 'wood elves' skin is usually copperish' no dude they look like trees im sorry i don't make the rules it's just how it is now, tree skin and deer ears
2) casual wear i guess? like, going-about-their-everyday-business-wear. the mask is one of the only things from home they still have, & a relative carved it for them
3) fancy performance wear! the mask is way fancier than i could draw. they play the ocarina, the kalimba, and the tiniest violin
4) felony clothes! it's a realistic-looking full face mask with red lenses to disguise eye colour, and they rub makeup (or dirt) into exposed skin; authorities tend to mistake them for a drow woman
